Duration: March 2020 – 3 months
Objective: To promote long-lasting peace amongst hostile families and clans. This project builds the capacities of religious and clan leaders, men, women, and youth groups to engage in dialogue and foster social interactions that increase tolerance.
Target: 300,000 people
Budget: USD 100,000
Key Activities & Results:
Duration: June 2020 – 6 months
Objective: To provide COVID-19 preventive measures and psychosocial support to approximately 10,000 people in the Gedo region.
Target: 10,000 people
Duration: August 2020 – Ongoing
Objective: Enhance protection and coping mechanisms for victims of sexual and gender-based violence through strengthened social protection networks.
Duration: June 2020 – 6 months
Objective: To provide COVID-19 prevention, psychosocial support, and healthcare services to 15% of the 70,000 Kenyans living in South Africa.
Target: 10,500 people
Duration: December 2020
Objective: Facilitate a remittance survey conducted by the Central Bank of Kenya in collaboration with Kenyan diaspora associations.
Date: October 2022
Objective: A seminar aimed at addressing xenophobia, discussing its causes, and finding solutions to prevent future attacks. This initiative contributed to narrowing the gap on migration challenges and fostering cooperation among stakeholders.
Date: June 2019
Objective: To develop and research locally-adapted climate-smart techniques for soil conservation, food production, and sustainable agriculture, including fish production through ocean seeding.
Duration: February 2024 – 3 years
Objective: Empower 600 farmers by providing access to capital for small-scale farming (fish, crops, poultry, livestock) while promoting environmental sustainability and market development.
Date: November 2024
Objective: Conduct clinical trials comparing carbon compound fertilizers with ammonium-based fertilizers in two Kenyan regions over two planting seasons to boost sustainable agriculture practices.
